Inside the Rock: A Wild Night at the Jersey Devils Brocast

There are hockey games, and then there are experiences—and the debut of the Jersey Devils Brocast at the Prudential Center was definitely the latter. Nestled just outside the Rock Whiskey Lounge, we brought the spirit of Radio Garden State live to the fans, turning a regular game night into something truly unforgettable.

With stickers, pins, giveaways, and a whole lot of Devils talk, the Brocast delivered wall-to-wall energy. Hosted by Papa Reese and Jim, with Radio Garden State founder Mike Ham on deck, fans were treated to banter, predictions, and deep hockey analysis with a local twist. Mike may have jokingly questioned his Devils trivia chops, but his passion was all heart. And with Jim's encyclopedic hockey knowledge in tow, this new show quickly found its rhythm.

From trade deadline debates (Cody Glass: legend in the making?) to memories of Devils greats like Scott Stevens and Martin Brodeur, the conversation flowed as freely as the merch. Fans lined up to grab limited-edition Radio Garden State stickers, scan QR codes, and talk hockey. And yes, the predictions flew: the crowd favorite was 3-1 Devils, but someone even went with a bold 8-0.

Beyond the hockey talk, the Brocast doubled as a community event. Kids, adults, and even fans of the other team stopped by to chat. The music breaks, featuring tracks from Reese Van Riper, Reality Suite, and others, kept the vibes rolling and gave local artists their spotlight.

The team even plugged the next big Radio Garden State event: Jersey Fest, happening May 17 at White Eagle Hall. With local bands, Rutt's Hut, Johnny's Pork Roll, and more, it's shaping up to be another can't-miss celebration of all things Jersey.

At its core, the Jersey Devils Brocast is more than just pregame chatter. It's a love letter to the Devils, to New Jersey, and to the fans who show up loud, proud, and ready for puck drop. If that night was any indication, this Brocast isn't just a one-off—it's the beginning of a new game night tradition.

So scan that QR code, grab a sticker, and keep New Jersey loud. We'll see you at the next one.
