The "Gen X" in Gen X Jersey is a nod to your host, Melissa, and it’s a late-night mix of the music everyone grew up on, literally. It begins with her perspective as part of a generation that came of age offline and then had to build its life online, but she’s made space for your stories, memories and requests through a call-in line.

You’re encouraged to take part in the show by sharing stories and making requests by calling 732-455-9155 anytime, 24/7, to leave a message. She’ll play them on air and carry them over into her Aftershow podcast, where discussions can get more in depth.

Each week pairs favorite songs from across decades and genres with an open conversation about where we all stand today and what we’re listening to now. It’s nostalgia, yes, but it’s also dialogue about our culture, our memories and our future.
