Song of the Week: Lauren Gill – “Footage I Can’t Delete”

Artist: Lauren Gill

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey

This week’s Radio Garden State Song of the Week is “Footage I Can’t Delete” by Lauren Gill.

“Footage I Can’t Delete” is honest, straightforward, and easy to connect with. It’s about memories that stick around longer than you’d like — no overthinking, just real feelings and clean songwriting. It’s the kind of track that hits best when you’re driving or listening alone with headphones on.

Lauren Gill is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter from New Brunswick, NJ, who got her start playing shows in Asbury Park. She’s been writing and performing since she was 10, has played in multiple bands, recorded over 10 songs, and even shared the stage with Destroy Boys.

After taking two years off to focus on her mental health and her studies at Rutgers University, Lauren is officially back. This track was recorded in Nashville in December 2024 with producer Kile Odell, and it marks the start of her next chapter.

You can hear “Footage I Can’t Delete” spinning all week in heavy rotation on Radio Garden State.
