Song of the Week: Mourning Noise – “Live and Die For You”
This week’s Song of the Week comes from Lodi, New Jersey’s own Mourning Noise with the track “Live and Die For You.”
“Funhouse” brings the raw, loud energy Best Dressed Ghost is known for right to the forefront. It’s gritty, punchy, and built to hit hard, a blend of garage rock, punk attitude, and surf-punk salt that hits you in the gut while grinning. This is a track meant to be blasted live, fist in the air, because subtleness isn’t part of the vocabulary here.
“Live and Die For You” delivers everything fans expect from classic Jersey horror punk, sharp riffs, punishing rhythms, and dark, cinematic lyrics. The track is loud and dripping with attitude, blending old-school punk energy with the band’s signature noir edge.
The single comes from Mourning Noise’s upcoming album Serpent Lip Service, set for release on April 17. The new record is packed with heavy grooves, killer riffs, and the band’s unmistakable horror-punk DNA.
